At the edge of the grounds there is a large forest. Inside the forest is dark and brooding. Many dangerous creatures make home in the forest. At the beginning of each school year, students are reminded that the forest is off limits to students; yet naturally some sneak in just to have a poke around.

Another good portion of the grounds are the lawns in various free space about the grounds. Students can be found reading under a tree, and flying classes take place here. To the far north lies the Forbidden forest, and beyond that is where the Herbology and Care of Magical Creatures classes take place.

Home to the most popular sport in the magical world. Played on broomsticks making it the most dangerous game in the world to be played as often as it does. Here is where the four house Quidditch teams practice and hold matchs to win the coveted School Quidditch Cup. You will also have your flying lessons here!

This is where the old headmaster Albus dumbledore lies to rest forever more. You may come and pay your respects but please don't deface it.
