Erick Anthony Goldstein is a sixth year Slytherin and a half vampire. He is the son of a female vampire and a male wizard. He lives with his grandfather when he is not at school, though he spends all the holiday breaks he can at Hogwarts. It is possible you have spend six years at school with him and never spoken to him once. Some people think he is stupid or crazy or creepy or any other number of things because he spends so much of his time alone. The truth is that he is actually quite clever and a rather gifted musician, he just has trouble relating to people -- and a lot of people don't like him simply because he is part vampire.

These will be few and far between, unfortunately. Erick is actually a very lonely person but he doesn't know how to make friends. Not proper friends, anyway. Slytherins and sixth years will know him best simply because they are the ones that see him the most. If you're loud and crazy and have a party everywhere you go, you're probably not going to be his friend. Calm, intelligent people are those he would prefer to spend time with. People who are genuine and don't push are good starts.

DON'T UNDERSESTIMATE THE THINGS THAT I WILL DO
He may try to keep himself isolated but Erick can't always succeed. He has a bit of an ego due to his mother's coddling and he can actually be quite mean from time to time. There are those occasions, however, when he doesn't actually intend to be rude or insulting but he wasn't exactly brought up in a normal home. He can act weirdly from time to time and it can range from unsettling to offensive.

It's a big enough challenge to be Erick's friend since he's so very good at pushing people away. To be his girlfriend (or boyfriend, as he is rather ambivalent about that) would be something of an impossible feat. He does want to be loved, he just doubts anyone ever could do something like that. He is, after all, a monster.
